【摘要】:Theratingincreasesastheimpactsoundattenuationofthefloorceilingstructureincreases.Theratingcanbeusedbyarchitects,builders,andspecificationandcodeauthoritiesforacousticaldesignpurposesinbuildingconstructions.4.2TheratingstrictlyonlyappliestoexcitationbythestandardtappingmachinedefinedinTestMethodsE492andE1007.Itdoesnotdealwithlowfrequencysoundsbelow100Hzthataretypicallygeneratedbelowlightweightjoistfloorswhentheyarewalkedon.Nordoesitdealwiththesqueaking,crunchingorrattlingsoundsthatcanoccurinjoistconstructionwhenelementsintheconstructionarelooseandoccupantswalkonthefloor.4.3Thisclassificationshallonlybeusedwithone-thirdoctavebanddata.1.1Thisclassificationprovidesamethodfordeterminingaratingthatcanbeusedtocomparethelevelsofimpactnoisegeneratedbyastandardtappingmachineandtransmittedthroughdifferentfloor-ceilingassemblies.1.2Thenamegiventotheratingisassignedbythetestmethodthatinvokesthisclassification.1.3ThisclassificationisapplicableonlytoonethirdoctavebandimpactnoisedataobtainedusingthestandardtappingmachinedescribedinTestMethodsE492andE1007.1.4Testmethodsthatinvokethisclassificationinclude:1.4.1TestMethodE492-thesingle-numberratingiscalledimpactinsulationclass(IIC).1.4.2TestMethodE1007-thesingle-numberratingiscalledfieldimpactinsulationclass(FIIC).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
